"Amroli" had been a small village situated on the bank of river Tapti, separated from Surat city by the river, in neighborhood of Utran station. The story of its groth can be traced back to 1945. The villagers were not economically very sound and were far from sophistication. There was no hospital, no school and no temple. The educationally backward, socially cut off and economically undeveloped people had to have someone for their upliftment. Late. Shri. Kantilal J. Shah took the initiative to uplift this small village and the people of village with best facilities like nearby city areas. To cater to the needs of Amroli and adjoining areas Jivan Jyot Trust, Amroli (Public Trust) was formed and Registered under the Public Charitable Trust Act in the year 1974.
The trust is working in many ares like education, health and welfare of poor and needy people. The time is ripe now to extend the branches and venture further into the exploration of more possibilities to open up for the needy and poor persons that enable them to further enhance their skills, upgrade their knowledge, motivate them to stand on their own feet.
The Jivan Jyot Trust, Amroli desires to keep intact the heritage of the village and work towards continuing the legacy of commitment and contributing towards the overall development of rural persons.
