Trust Story

"Amroli" had been a small village situated on the bank of river Tapti, separated from Surat city by the river, in neighborhood of Utran station. The story of its groth can be traced back to 1945. The villagers were not economically very sound and were far from sophistication. Development had not touched the people and the farmers had to take pains to meet their requirements. There was no hospital, no school and no temple. The railway over bridge was the only way to cross the river and the people had to walk all the way to the city. The educationally backward, socially cut off and economically undeveloped people had to have someone for their upliftment. With the increasing population and the growing awareness, the need for Higher Educational institute was felt and to cater to the needs of students coming from Amroli and adjoining areas this Public Trust was formed and Registered under the Public Charitable Trust Act in the year 1974. The Trust brought a number of institutions of academic pursuits into existence doing justice to the right to education with special attention on the disadvantaged section of society and the different baled.

Kantikaka 'The Pioneer'

An energetic, benevolent and young visionary, Shri Kantilal J. Shah happened to read the novel "Gramlaxmi" by noted Gujarati writer, Shri. Ramanlal Vasantlal Desai. The protagonist Ashvin's untiring efforts to transform his village had an immediate impact on the young revolutionary and he set out with the mission of transforming Amroli village. His strong determination coupled with the Gandhian principles of democracy and equality played wonders and saw the village on the path of progress. He spread education, co-operative religious facilities and healthy atmosphere single-handed. Hence people called him with love and reverence K. LAL. Despite of its minute population size, it has a distinct identity as a progressive village today. Today with its impressive progress the "Amroli Village" has stand an example of a Modern Indian village.
